If your windows matter to you and you are replacing them then the first thing you should do is go and talk to Windows Advice Centre. They clearly talked through all the options available to us in considerable detail. We live in a conservation area so needed to get it right. Our house has 4 round top sliding sash windows and they have replaced them successfully, indeed beautifully. There were some tricky details to work out between the manufacturers, the installers and ourselves (we are very picky) and this was done with consideration and patience and at no time did we feel under pressure to accept anything other than the best for our house. We sit in our home now looking at lovely windows and are very happy. Thank you.
