| IS IT FEASIBLE? The first step is to undertake a site appraisal to advise you on the
feasibility of erecting the conservatory, and discuss the likely cost.
HOW WILL IT LOOK?
Should you wish to progress to the
next stage, your consultant will take a site survey and develop sketch designs with you.
Once you are happy with the outline proposals, he will return a set of annotated
architects drawings. This will allow you to see what the conservatory will actually look
like.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Once you approve the proposals,
your consultant will identify suitable contractors to invite to quote by competitive
tender. To protect you from unsolicited sales pressure, he will arrange to have the
quotations returned to Window Advice Centre. Your consultant will help you assess the
quotations to determine which contractor(s) should be afforded the opportunity to visit
the site.

WHO SHOULD BUILD IT? The chosen contractor(s) will be invited to meet with you and your
consultant on site. The contractor will then be expected to submit detailed construction
drawings together with wind and snow loading calculations and a proposed programme of
work. This will allow your consultant to advise you on any technical matter which would
require to be resolved before you place an order.
HAS IT BEEN BUILT CORRECTLY?
To achieve stability, a
conservatory requires proper ground work and well constructed foundations. Your consultant
will inspect the underbuilding before he gives approval for the conservatory
superstructure to be built. Once your conservatory is complete, your consultant will
undertake an inspection to ensure that all is in order before you pay the contractor.
At this point, Window Advice Centre
will arrange for you to be protected by guarantee insurance for ten years.
Please note that under certain
circumstances, you may require local authority permission which would attract a separate
charge. Your consultant will advise you on all these matters. |
